Julia Quinn is my go-to author for humor and light hearted romances. As I started to read The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy I thought I was reading another winner from this already good series. As the chapters flew by I just fell in love. Then like seeing the storm clouds rolling in to ruin a bright sunny day, I saw a huge problem looming on the horizon.

The lying and manipulative nature of Richard, "our hero", just got worse and worse and with two dumb, selfish sisters- it just didn't get better for me. The ending almost felt like a cop-out that I'm surprised poor Iris wasn't banging her head against the nearest wall! (Because I was!) I just felt so bad for Iris getting stuck with such a horrible family and a husband that knew what he was doing and yet was willing to hurt a innocent. Not matter how much Richard groveled, I felt it was just a little to late to do the right thing n…
