Ahh, such a refreshing read! It was brezzey and a true page turner with the reader guessing whodunit, and for the asking price of .99 it was money well spent and more!

Caz Tallis runs her own shop restoring old rocking horses, her life is pretty normal, working and hanging out with her BF, until one morning she stumbles onto a man and his shaggy dog sleeping on her lounge outside. Thinking he’s just a poor soul passing through she doesn’t give him much thought, until he reappears again on her doorstep, and she figures out he’s not just anyone, but a rock star Ric Kesley whom was suppose to be dead for three years. Chaz is pulled into a unsolved murder case with Ric trying to find out whom the real killer or could it be the Ric whom Chaz is starting to fall for.

I’m not a mystery reader, Oh, I adore the classics- Sherlock, Agatha Christie and the occasion Murder, She Wrote eps. Perhaps, this is why I enjoyed this book so much. E…

After a few "meh" HR I've read of late, was looking for something light and fun. I found it with Mr.Bishop and the Actress, a de-lightful regency romp from start to finish.

Mr. Harry Bishop is put in charge to take care of his employee's nephew whom is debt up to his eyeballs and comes upon his employee's nephew Charlie Fordham at the home his mistress a Mrs. Sophie Wallace where the creditors have descended to take everything expect a huge bed, Sophie claims is her and seems to be her pride and joy.
Of course being a gentleman, Harry offers Sophie a place to stay for the night, and his family's hotel/inn is close by, sparks fly between the two, but something Harry says to Sophie stick in her mind- getting a better job, maybe would be better for her. Of course when Sophie is hired neither expect to see one another again, as Sophie's new job is a governess to Harry's employer&#…

It's been while since I read such a delicious adventure novel (pirates not-included) everything was top-notch from the plot to the characters even had a picky parrot named Lady Holly.

Lorena St. John and her sisters have lived under the icon thumb of their stepfather since the death of their mother, not Lorena is forced into a marriage set sailed to Bermuda with the hope her husband to be will be a better man then her stepfather, giving her a chance to be free. Sadly that mere hope is dashed when she finds herself betrothed to a cruel slave master. Lorena is faced with a bleak future, until perhaps by luck or fate is adducted Captain Warren Rawlins, whom slowly starts to change her outlook on those of the ship and the captain himself..

Captain Warren Rawlins used Lorena get get his brother out of the slave fortress where they were being kept. A merchant by trade along with his family, Warren can't stomach then unc…

Of Dukes and Deceptions by Wendy Soliman

Of Dukes and Deceptions by Wendy Soliman

Nicholas Buchanan, the Duke of Dorchester is a man use to getting what he wants and when he wants, so when accepting a invitation to visit a horse stud farm in the country to get away from the city life, he meets up with a local "poor relation" of the family he's visting Alicia Woodley. We makes a bet with his henchman that he'll be bedding her before his stay is over, of course he didn't reckon that Alicia would turn all his plans on their head!

This book started off on the right foot, Soliman writing pose just fits the bill for the period. The as I slower got more into the book, my enjoyment just diminished. Nick was a total ass, snob and spoiled little brat- instead of being a man. There was no redeeming feature in him, perhaps toward the end, but by then it was the end and you never got the feeling he cared more then lust or even loved Alicia. Alicia started off a good character, but feel …

I love reading Courtesan/Escort romances, perhaps because of Robin Schone’s The Lover or that is shows another faction of the human spirit of overcoming classes and those whose past are not pure white, or perhaps I watch Pretty Woman way to much, no matter the case, and while this book didn’t live up to the hype I had for it, it was still a very engaging read that had me reading to the end.

Lady Ruth has just been tossed aside by her lastest protector for a younger woman. At Forty-one Ruth is at a cross-roads in her life dealing with her sexuality, her age and what other think of her. Her life changes again when she meets Barron Garrick Stratfield at a ball, and after he saves her from a few snubs from the set, Ruth and Garrick part ways until they meet again as they bid over Crawley Hall which both unknown to either want to buy to be built into an orphanage. Each meeting leads them both drawing closer to one another secrets and a…

When I sit down with a Courtney Milan book it’s like I’m in for a seven-course meal, with a deep romance, drama, humor, angst, an excellent plot and two amazing leads. Milan expands and weaves her novel to just pull the reader deeply into the story and lives of her characters that leaves you wanting to reach the end and at the same time never wanting it to end.
